Your consultant. The person building it.
I'm Ian, an independent AI consultant, automation engineer, and full-stack developer with a BSc in Economics and a Masters in Psychology. I bring that mix to understanding the business problem, how people work, and what a useful system needs to do.
I work solo and stay involved from the first workflow conversation to the build and handover. My role is to help you make a sound decision about AI, test it against real work, and leave your team with something they understand and can use.
Before we start.
01Where should we start if we are new to AI?+
Start with one workflow: what comes in, what your team does with it, and where time or information gets lost. I review the tools and constraints with you, then recommend a focused pilot. Sometimes a simpler automation is the right answer.
02How does pricing work?+
I quote a defined scope before work starts. After discovery, you receive a written proposal with the deliverables, timeline, and price. Larger implementations can be split into milestones, and any scope changes are agreed together.
03Will agents make decisions without our team?+
We define what the system can do, what needs approval, and when it should stop and ask for help. The pilot includes examples from your workflow so we can examine its output and failure cases before deciding what to put into daily use.
04Can you work with our existing tools and data?+
I review your systems, access requirements, and data constraints before choosing an approach. Integrations, model providers, and any third-party costs are discussed as part of the scope. Sensitive data handling is a design decision we make explicitly.
05Who owns the work, and what happens after launch?+
The project code and documentation are handed over to you, with deployment in your accounts. Third-party services keep their own licences and usage costs. We agree the handover period and support arrangements before launch, including who will monitor and maintain the system.
06Who will I work with?+
You work directly with me, from discovery through implementation. I share written progress updates and working previews, with calls when they help move the project forward. The first conversation is free: bring a workflow or problem, even if you are still figuring out the brief.
